Landmæglingar Islands Special Maps The State run Icelandic mappublisher. They produce maps of the island in scale 1:750.000 and 1:500.000. Furthermore they have a series in scale 1:250.000 dividing Iceland into 9 maps, these are also available as double maps to a reasonable price. It is also possible to have maps in scale 1:100.000 and some parts in 1:50.000. A special series covers the 10 most popular hiking areas on the island. The 8 Special Maps cover some of the most popular travel destinations in Iceland, in scales between 1:25.000 and 1:100.000. Some of the maps contain city maps of the major cities in the area which they cover.
