The E5 long-distance pathway leads from the shores of beautiful Lake Constance in Germany to the marvellous Italian city of Verona. The well-established 600km route encounters passes up to 2900m, and takes about 30 days to make its way through through a kaleidoscope of Alpine landscapes and cultures in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Italy.

A well-organised network of Alpine refuges and cosy guesthouses welcomes walkers, and convenient transport links make it possible to walk shorter sections, joining or leaving the trek at virtually any stage.
